Baby Massage for Dads

Saturday afternoons every other month

All group classes are based at Dockland Settlements Centre, E14 3PS.

We are a 2-minute walk from Island Gardens DLR, next to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel

Baby Massage for Dads is suitable from birth until baby is actively moving and is offered as a 1.5-hour workshop.

This class helps you to become more comfortable holding and soothing your baby.

We will show you how to deal with common issues such as constipation, wind and teething – as well as meeting local dads!

If you already have lots of new dad friends, then let me know and we can set up a special event for your group specifically or invite them along.

Please do not worry if you haven’t spent much time with your baby and do not understand their cries, or if you don’t have a handle on nappies, feeding or burping. I’m here to help!

I will take plenty of photos during the session so that you have some special memories of the time spent with your baby.

After our workshop, you will have access to various handouts that will guide and remind you about the massage strokes we cover together in class.

Things to consider

Breastfeeding mummies are welcome, but the massage itself is a dad and baby event (so mummies shouldn’t get involved 😊)

If your newborn baby (under 4 weeks) is suffering with trapped wind, constipation and reflux or colic, it may be appropriate to have a private session at your home. Available for clients living in Canary Wharf or Isle of Dogs. Please contact me directly.

The Baby Massage for Dads class is limited to 8 dads so there is plenty of 1 to 1 support if required.

Pricing

The standard class passes, or a monthly membership are not applicable for this class. Please check carefully which option you are purchasing.

Classes may be booked 1 month in advance and booking closes 1 hour before class.

What to bring for baby

Bring your baby and your normal changing bag and a blanket for baby to lie on. We massage our babies while sitting on the floor and I will have blankets and pillows for you to use if sitting on the floor is difficult for you.

Many dads are nervous about taking baby down to just a nappy in the class, so I will be pleased to demonstrate a dry massage where baby is fully clothes. Please do bring a bottle of oil to massage baby if you prefer as skin-to-skin massage can be incredibly beneficial especially on legs, tummy and chest.

What to bring for you

Please wear something comfortable that you can move in. Layers are good as you may want to remove a layer if you get warm and put it back on to get comfortable. A bottle of water to sip from is also a good idea.

Health & Wellbeing

Please do complete the health questionnaire with all pertinent information so that I may adapt the class plan as required. If there are health issues that change from week to week, please feel free to message me directly and update me.
