Baby Massage
Tuesdays at 10am
All group classes are based at Dockland Settlements Centre, E14 3PS.
We are a 2-minute walk from Island Gardens DLR, next to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel
Baby Massage is suitable from birth until baby is actively moving.
In terms of your health; if you can sit on the floor and change a nappy, then you can practice Baby Massage.
Let me help you to bond even more with your baby and soothe common issues such as constipation, wind and teething. Let me guide you through tummy time with some tips and tricks to make the whole process less anxiety ridden.
Learn together, which strokes can be used to calm baby down before bed and which ones stimulate baby and which ones make your baby giggle! All the while becoming aware of your baby’s behaviour when feeling tired, overstimulated and hungry. It’s a learning process for both of you.
During each class, I will take plenty of photos of you and your baby to treasure as they grow. (These are a personal gift from E14YogaCoach to you and not for social media unless agreed)
After class, I will send you some information reminding you of our time together in class – perfect for if your little one wants to sleep or feed during an important part. 💤
If you already have some mummy friends, do let me know if several of you want to join at the same time. If you need some local mummy friends, then this is the class for you.
Things to consider
Yes. Baby Massage is available as single sessions via class passes, but I would strongly suggest booking a full month so that you and baby meet the same mums and babies and learn the full Baby Massage technique.
If your newborn baby (under 4 weeks) is suffering with trapped wind, constipation and reflux or colic, it may be appropriate to have a private session at your home. Available for clients living in Canary Wharf or Isle of Dogs. Please contact me directly.
Pricing
You may buy class passes or a monthly membership.
Classes may be booked 1 month in advance and booking closes 1 hour before class.
What to bring for baby
Bring your baby and your normal changing bag and a blanket for baby to lie on. We massage our babies while sitting on the floor and I will have blankets and pillows for you to use if you have postpartum pain.
Many mums are nervous about taking baby down to just a nappy in the first class, so I will be pleased to demonstrate a dry massage where baby is fully clothes. Please do bring a bottle of oil to massage baby if you prefer as skin-to-skin massage can be incredibly beneficial especially on legs, tummy and chest.
What to bring for you
Please wear something comfortable that you can move in. Layers are good as you may want to remove a layer if you get warm and put it back on to get comfortable. A bottle of water to sip from is also a good idea.
Health & Wellbeing
Please do complete the health questionnaire with all pertinent information so that I may adapt the class plan as required. If there are health issues that change from week to week, please feel free to message me directly and update me.
